The Fifth Annual Post-Holiday Gift Guide

Welcome to my fifth annual post-holiday gift guide.  I started this in 2013 in response to the multitudes of holiday gift guides out there, figuring we could probably use something for the post-holiday times.  I’ve tried to do something a little different every year – in 2013, I did a guide for people looking to spend that extra money on their gift cards or trying to get free shipping; in 2014, I offered some suggestions for hobby games to trade those mainstream games for; in 2015, I looked at games to pair with common New Year’s resolutions; and in 2016, I gave some easy last-second print-and-play ideas.

This year, I’m going a little bit of a different route.  I’m certainly not the FIRST person to rewrite The Twelve Days of Christmas with games, but those are usually released too early.  The first day of Christmas is actually today – Christmas.  It’s not the first twelve days of December, or the twelve days leading up to Christmas.  In the traditional Christian calendar, the season of Christmas lasts from December 25 to January 5, with the Feast of the Epiphany happening on January 6 to mark the arrival of the wise men.  So this year, our Post-Holiday Gift Guide will give you ideas for gifts for each of the twelve days of Christmas.  In the key on D!
